Hub City Comic Con
Lubbock's summer comic convention, with voice-actor and celebrity guests, a cosplay contest, vendors, and an itasha car showcase.
Hub City Comic Con is Lubbock’s late-summer comic convention, produced by ConLive at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. The 2026 guest list leaned heavily on voice actors and TV favorites. The show also runs a cosplay contest, vendor and panelist programs, and an itasha car showcase (cars wrapped in anime artwork).
Hub City Comic Con is a different event from Lubbock-Con, the city’s separate nonprofit pop culture convention.

The show runs in late August. The 2026 edition was August 22–23, with Saturday hours of 9 a.m.–7 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced.
