Big Texas Comicon

Big Texas Comicon calls itself “San Antonio’s Favorite comicon!” It’s a three-day fall show at the Henry B. González Convention Center, a short walk from the River Walk. The format is a classic comic con: a celebrity guest lineup with photo ops, a vendor floor, comic creators, and a costume contest.

When it happens

Big Texas Comicon is a mid-October show. The 2026 edition ran October 9–11, with show-floor hours of Friday 2–8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.–7 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. The 2027 dates haven’t been announced yet.

Tips

• Friday is a short afternoon day and usually the lightest crowd, which makes it the best time for shopping the vendor floor.
• Downtown San Antonio hotels near the convention center book up fast when other events overlap. Check the city calendar before you book.
