Houston, TX · George R. Brown Convention Center
Usually summer · last held Jul 23–26, 2026
Houston's long-running anime and Japanese pop culture convention: four days of guests, cosplay contests, concerts, and Anime Academy workshops.
Houston’s big shows cluster at two venues: the George R. Brown Convention Center downtown (Comicpalooza, Anime Matsuri, Dream Con) and NRG Center (AnimeVerse). The calendar runs from AnimeVerse in February through a heavy late-spring and summer stretch.
Summer cons here mean serious heat and humidity. Plan cosplay, lines, and parking around it.
