Comicpalooza bills itself as “your pop-culture festival, curated for you, by people just like you.” It’s Houston’s flagship multi-fandom convention, held at the George R. Brown Convention Center downtown. Expect a celebrity guest lineup, a large exhibitor floor and artist alley, special attractions, and a full programming schedule.
When it happens
Comicpalooza lands on or near Memorial Day weekend. The 2026 show ran May 22–24. Ticketing sites list May 28–30, 2027 for the next edition, but the official site hadn’t published dates when we checked, so treat them as unconfirmed.
Tips
- The GRB connects to downtown hotels and the METRORail Green/Purple lines. Garage parking fills on Saturday.
- Late May in Houston is hot and humid, so plan cosplay and lines around the heat.
