Ikkicon calls itself “Central Texas’ Premier Anime + Gaming Con.” It has been running for more than 20 years and kicks off the Texas convention year every January. The show combines anime programming, gaming, cosplay, evening and nightlife events, and community meetups. Since moving to the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, just north of Austin, it has a self-contained resort feel.
